MarineTech exists to promote world-class maritime research and innovation, through effective collaboration between industry and the science and engineering base. In order to achieve this goal, MarineTech has set itself the following key objectives: · To launch and manage high-quality,
collaborative research programmes focused on industrial priorities · To promote the exploitation of science and
technology through the active participation of innovative firms · To expand the availability of skills in
leading edge technologies, to enable their effective application in new
products and services MarineTech is a joint venture company limited by share, registered in England. The company operates by investing in development of projects and their financing, and then generating revenue for managing those projects. As a not-for-profit company, MarineTech reinvests any surplus earnings in research and related activities. The company has seven institutional shareholders, all leading centres of maritime research and engineering. Registrations

In addition to its shareholders, MarineTech works with a wide range of clients and partners, ranging from micro-businesses to multi-nationals, and including public sector bodies as well as companies. With a growing international portfolio, MarineTech has created and managed projects involving partners from ten different countries. Our offices are located in the purpose-built Southampton Oceanography Centre overlooking the major international port of Southampton. Full meeting and conference facilities are available on site. To reach the office by road, follow signs for 'Docks' and then 'Dock Gate 4'. At the main gate, you will be directed to the Oceanography Centre. By rail, alight at Southampton Central (75 minutes from London Waterloo) and take a 5 minute taxi ride. Southampton International Airport is about 6 miles from the centre of town. You can take a train to Southampton Central station, or get a taxi direct to the office. |
